The SMESU Trustees, decided to launch an Alumni section to our former members, with the basic aim of setting up a recognised informal programme of activities and events, which allows the past members to come together every so often, throughout the year.

We don’t take things too seriously, but the Alumni section allows us to continue to promote Scouting opportunities that may be of interest. It also allows everyone to stay in touch and offers a little support and guidance to those who need it, when they need it. From time to time, some of the Alumni are asked to pitch up at a Unit activity and offer up some of their specialised skills and support.

SMESU Alumni was launched in Jan ’09, and is starting to gather interest and gain momentum. All in all, we are pretty much focused on having fun, supporting our local communities. We hope you enjoy this page – read on, and be prepared to enter the wonderful (and uncertain) world of SMESU Alumni…
