Hello people!

I’m Dave, sometimes Dinglis, whichever you like. I’ve been involved in scouting from beavers, through cubs, and into the 114th scouts at Fairmilehead. I joined SMESU as one of the founding members (you could say I’m a bit of a SMESU legend) when Neil and Russel started it up.

I was asked to become a leader and couldn’t wait once I realised how much I had missed scouting since I left.

It feels great to be back involved with the guys and I feel the leadership team works really well together as a unit. Personally as a scout I always preferred to be outdoors doing activities, summer camp was the highlight of my year, and I try to be involved in as many camps as possible. I was involved in the summer camp to Kandersteg in 2007 and looking forward to Uganda as projects leader (measure twice, cut once boys), as I’m sure everyone else is.
